SIECUS Supports New Bill Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health Equity Nationwide
The landscape of reproductive and sexual health information is becoming more fragmented, politicized, and difficult to navigate. Restrictions on sex education, disruptions to federal health programs, and persistent misinformation are undermining people’s ability to access trusted, comprehensive resources.
That’s why we need bold, federal leadership now.
📣 The HHS Reproductive and Sexual Health Ombuds Act of 2025 is a critical piece of legislation that would establish a dedicated Ombuds within the Department of Health and Human Services to ensure people nationwide can access comprehensive, accurate, and inclusive reproductive and sexual health information and services. This Ombuds would help safeguard medically accurate sex education, address barriers to care, and provide a trusted federal resource amid growing misinformation and political interference.
Congress must act. Young people deserve facts—not fear. Truth—not censorship. Health—not shame.
📝 Urge your Senators and Representatives to cosponsor the HHS Reproductive and Sexual Health Ombuds Act of 2025 and ensure all young people have access to the tools they need to lead safe, informed, and healthy lives.
