Statement of Board Chair, Joann Smith, on New SIECUS Leadership

I am writing to share some bittersweet news, but also some exciting news about the future of the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS). Sadly, after nearly 20 years at SIECUS, Joseph DiNorcia, President and CEO, has submitted his resignation to the Board. Joe joined SIECUS in May of 1991, serving for many years as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and then as President and CEO for the last five years.
 
As President, Joe has been responsible for all programmatic activities of the agency, including the establishment of the SIECUS DC-based public policy office as an important voice in advocating for sexuality education and sexual and reproductive health and rights. He has represented SIECUS with key influential audiences worldwide…
