Alison Macklin is the Founder and Chief Strategist at Making Sense of “It” Consulting, LLC. As Chief Strategist, Alison provides guidance regarding the implementation of the comprehensive sex education legislation and policy and helps parents and others develop skills to feel comfortable having conversations about sex and sexuality with the young people in their lives.
Prior to founding Making Sense of It Consulting, Alison was the Vice President of Education, Innovation and HIV Programs of Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains, after starting as Program Manager and moving into higher positions of leadership over 16 years with the organization. Alison is also the author of Making Sense of “It”, a no-holds barred, nonjudgmental guide on everything to do with sex and sexuality for teens and their families.
