What a great year. SIECUS accomplished more on the policy, education, and advocacy fronts this year than any other in our history. Through our many years of working with Congress, pushing the envelope, and earning our seat at the table, we finally saw the executive and legislative branches of government offer federal funding for evidence-based programs to prevent teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV. Combined with this achievement, we are much closer to declaring victory over damaging federally funded abstinence-only-until-marriage programs, which for a long period of time, overtook this country’s education system and our children…
