The Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) is committed to honoring the privacy of visitors to our website and those who have signed-up for SIECUS resources and contributed to SIECUS. Our goal is to protect online information with the same diligence and transparency that we protect information obtained through other means.

Information Collection and Use
SIECUS collects information about each visitor to the website in three ways: (1) through your IP address, which does not contain any personal information; (2) through any email correspondences you send to us through the website; and (3) when you submit information using an online donation and/or input form on one of our web pages.

IP Address
Note: Your IP address does not contain or reveal personal information about you. Information such as your name, address, or phone number cannot be obtained through your IP address alone. SIECUS’ web servers log all website visitors’ IP addresses to automatically collect information about usage of the website. This information is collected only to help diagnose problems with our servers, administer our Web Site, track traffic patterns, and identify ways to make our website more useful. Information is never used to track or monitor individual users.

What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected
SIECUS partners who register for materials through www.siecus.org voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes. You may always “opt out,” either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our messages.

How Your Information May Be Used
We use your personal information primarily to send e-mail alerts to you and on occasion seek contributions to support SIECUS. You may choose to opt out of either or both at any time by emailing info@siecus.org.

We may occasionally exchange or rent the names, email addresses, and mailing addresses of our donors and supporters with other organizations in exchange for access to their member or supporter lists, so that we can invite others to learn about and contribute to SIECUS’ work. If you prefer to opt out having your name, address, email, or phone number exchanged in this manner, please email info@siecus.org.
