Federal Policy Director
As the Federal Policy Director, Samantha leads the development and execution of SIECUS’ federal policymaker education, advocacy, and lobbying strategies.
Prior to joining the SIECUS team, Samantha served as Acting Legislative Director for Congressman Tim Walz. She worked in a variety of roles during her years with Rep. Walz’s office, managing a legislative portfolio that included health care, women’s issues, and LGBTQ rights.
Her previous experience includes serving low-income women at American University Washington College of Law’s Women and the Law Clinic and Domestic Violence Clinics. Her cases mainly focused on child support and immigration issues.
Samantha was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to DC in 2006. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from The George Washington University and her law degree from American University.
